Hi family!!
I'm here in Independence! I'm just dropping a line to let you know
that my p-day won't be until next Thursday. The VC sisters can't have
all the same p-day because the VC is open every day, so that's why ours
is Thursday.
I'm happy and safe! The VC is awesome! I'm in Independence in the
Visitor's Center. I am actually a half an hour away from my area, but
that is how it works. We do half days.
My new companion is Sister Dodd from Logan, Utah!! We graduated the
same year and just went to different high schools (she went to Logan). I
like her a lot already. She is very nice. Crazy! I love the mission
president, and I feel very welcome here. I've been rejected already
while tracting, and it wasn't even that bad. I'm going to love it here.
It's amazing - I don't feel scared of anything. I think it is a
blessing, a real tender mercy. Even knocking doors and talking to
strangers isn't scary. (macey's may have helped, too).
Anyway, it isn't P-day, so they are just letting us send a short email to let you know to wait until Thursday.

P.S. I just have to wear sweaters in the VC (cardigans). I'm going
to need a lot more of those. I'll buy some out here, but keep your eyes
peeled!
